I am working on getting supplies for Pesach, and will let you all know of progress by the end of this month.
I will be having discussions with a new Beth Din, on Sunday, re UK production.
Alternatively (thanks to one of you for alerting me) I have located a supplier of European Organic Kosher chicken. I visited the company, checked the Organic and kosher certification and await a quote. The samples were succulent and sweet, with a delicate, corn-fed taste, colour and texture.

Unfortunately, the cutting and packing plant was unable to oblige, so I now aim to re-start next year.

- IF it works out, I will have Organic (genuine Free Range) Manchester Beth Din turkey and chicken (in delicatessens) on Friday 13th December.
- I expect to start regular poultry production in 2014 and do nationwide and Europe-wide delivery.
- I’m also discussing lamb and beef production : I can’t wait!

I will be speaking at the new
JW3 Jewish community centre near Finchley Road station, London NW3, next Sunday at 1.30pm
on tikkun olam (improving the world) and ethical consumption.
I have a 25 minute slot, so I’ll stay to answer questions, for as long as anyone wants afterwards.
Do come along and introduce yourselves, as I know many of you by name, or by email address (around 700 of you receive this newsletter).

Shana tova umetuka (Happy Jewish New Year) to all our Jewish customers, and a belated Ramadan Mubarak to all our Muslim customers.
The annual Organic licences for the poultry abbattoir and packing plant expired, and have not been renewed. I am waiting to hear from both of them and am seeking alternatives. Thanks again to all of you who contributed to the fund-raising for the Organic licences.
Organic food requires ‘cradle to grave’ certification, cooperation and agreement from farmers, abbattoirs, packing plants, manufacturers, beth din(s) and the organic licensing body. This needs to occur simultaneously and can be difficult to organise at times, a bit like a house-buying chain.
I will be talking to a kosher food producer at the end of this month, and a new Beth Din. If discussions bear fruit, another set of organic inspections, visits and licences will be set in train.
A third Beth Din kindly called to tell me that they expect to use an Organic poultry abbattoir, in 2014. If this does occur, it might well mean that we will produce under this Beth Din and should greatly simplify the production process.
Having successfully delivered frozen produce to Stockholm, Sweden (1200 miles away) on a 24 hour courier service, when I restart, I will offer nationwide, and Europe-wide, home delivery.

Please accept my apologies for the delay. To improve the service, I am evaluating new abattoirs and packing plants.
I am seeking a suitable abbatoir and packing plant with which to sign a contract – for the organic inspection and 12 month organic licence.
When I have done this, production will restart.
Thank you very much to all who contributed to the recent fund-raising.
I raised sufficient for 2 annual organic licences and plan to use the funds for re-licensing Organic Kosher poultry at 1) an abattoir and 2) a packing plant.
I will keep you informed and apologise for the delay.
